ABOUT PROJECT
The homeowners were looking for multiple uses for their small basement room. The space was needed for a guest room, work out room and movie viewing area. An egress window was added to help make it a guest room and bring additional light into the room.
Here is how we helped finish this space:
–cut concrete and added egress window well with new window
–removed drop ceiling and built soffits for drywall (including niche for hiding screen)
–painted existing paneled walls to help with budget
–installed floating LVP flooring due homeowner’s selection
–installed custom stained doors to match style of upstairs
The finish space can now be used as a movie viewing room (screen down covers egress window) or a guest room (pull out sofa). The other end of the room has remained the workout room along with the storage closet and door to the laundry. What a great multi-use basement room for the family to enjoy!
