ABOUT PROJECT
The original kitchen lacked functional countertop space and storage. The traffic flow also went right thru the work zone and disrupted meal prep. The homeowner was open to a radical change of space to create an open and contemporary space.
Here is what we changed:
–removed peninsula upper and lower cabinetry
–moved sink away from exterior wall to island
–relocated fridge and framed extra wall space to create shallow pantry
–updated lighting with LED under cabinet & over head cans
The heavy textured drywall & original 1929 oak floor were also matched where walls were removed to create a space that looks like it was always here.
This kitchen has definitely found its function!
