ABOUT PROJECT
The living room addition was added years ago to this 1929 small home. The new homeowners were looking to update the addition to continue the character of the original 1920s home. They requested doing in stages for budget reasons.
Here is how we helped:
phase 1
–removed closet by kitchen entrance
–replaced casement windows with wood double hung
–install custom trim to match original home
–removed wood burning stove
phase 2
–removed carpet flooring & replaced with herringbone glue down LVT
–replace carpeted steps to kitchen with custom wood steps to match trim
–removed metal handrail to basement with half wall
–installed reclaimed vintage door & hardware to bedroom
The end result now feels warm, bright and continues the character of the original trim while updating for the future!
