ABOUT PROJECT

This past 1980’s “parade home” was built with a contemporary architecture, however the kitchen was traditional for the time period. The vaulted ceilings and angled windows of the family room and sunroom surrounded the traditional soffited oak kitchen. The homeowner was ready to cross the kitchen over to compliment the rest of the home. Here is what we changed:

  • Soffits were removed to allow for the taller cabinets and additional storage
  • Replaced patio door with sliding window and replaced window in family room with door to porch
  • New appliances were planned including a wall oven & induction cook-top
  • Natural maple frame-less cabinetry to coordinate with the new maple flooring in the family room
  • Floating kidney bean shaped granite snack bar above the quartz counter-top
  • New tile flooring in kitchen and sun-room
  • Removed a large glass panel in sun-room to open up area thru home
  • Added windows below angled windows around fireplace

Now the larger, brighter kitchen continues the contemporary feel and function of the home and is great for friends and family to enjoy!
